Specifics

Plant and equipment, and structures, are considered together here due to the similarity of the software facilities required for them.

To enable common information to be recorded just once, there is a register of Plant/Equipment Models. When an actual item of Plant/Equipment is recorded, the appropriate Model can be chosen.

The concept of a "structure" can be expanded beyond that of a building, or say something like a bridge, to also encompass infrastructure - such as roads, carparks, pipelines, etc. So, for example, when we consider a Service Event for a Structure, it could be touchups to the coating of a pipeline.

Plant and equipment can include PPE (personal protective equipment) - both of a disposable nature (eg foam earplugs) or a reusable nature (eg a buoyancy vest). This is provided for with PPE registers and records of PPE issued.

Service Events for plant, equipment and structures are provided for.

Breakdown Events of plant and equipment items are provided for.

The intent is to also provide for inspection, testing and calibration of plant and equipment. A little more research is required before it is decided whether to provide a separate section for this, or whether this can also be considered part of a Service Event. (Your comments are welcome - please make contact).

Unplanned Events can impact on plant, equipment and structures - and this is provided for.

Assignments and reminders for events, actions arising from events, and expiry of certifications and registrations, are extensively provided for.

In the following tables, the columns on the right show you which of the packages (in addition to Quality At Work®) include the particular data. (In the header row of each table, "Rsk?" means "Is this aspect in Risk At Work®". Similarly, "OHS" refers to OHS At WorkTM, "HSE" to HSE At WorkTM, and "L&D" to L&D At WorkTM).

The tables are grouped under the same Data Categories that are used by the software to aid navigation between segments of the program.
